Is there a general obligation to wear a mask in Flims Laax Falera?

By order of the Federal Council, an obligation to cover the mouth and nose has been in force since 19 October in indoor rooms open to the public. This is in addition to the already existing obligation to wear the mask in closed cable cars and public transport.

Is there anything to be considered when using the mountain lifts?

Generally, the same rules apply to the cable cars as to public transport. Wherever possible, a distance of 1.5 m should be kept. In addition, already since 6 July 2020, wearing a mask is mandatory. This applies to the cable cars Stargels-Grauberg and Laax Murschetg-Crap Sogn Gion, but not to the open chair lifts Foppa, Naraus and Falera. Masks can be purchased at the ticket offices and guest information offices for CHF 1. Guests without masks may not be transported in the cable cars. Disinfectants are available for use. If possible, tickets should be purchased online to avoid contact points. Those who prefer to use the ticket office are kindly asked to pay via contactless payment. The other rules of the FOPH are to be observed at all times.

Is there a limitation on the number of passengers in the cable car?

No, currently there is no restriction on the number of passengers in the cable car. However, the cable car runs more frequently if necessary to avoid cowds (not only every half hour).

Where can you get a mask?

Masks are available at the ticket offices for the cost of CHF 1 per piece.

Are the employees of the touristic establishments tested?

No, not as a general rule. In accordance with current practice in Switzerland, only people with an immediate suspicion of infection are tested.

How can hygiene be guaranteed?

To meet the increased hygiene requirements, all cleaning intervals have been intensified. Surfaces are regularly disinfected, including door traps and sanitary facilities.

Do the establishments in the destination have protection concepts?

YYes, all businesses - restaurants, hotels, education & leisure, retail, mountain railways and swimming - have a protection concept and implement it. The situation is continuously reassessed and adjustments are made if necessary.

Which events of the summer season will not take place?

The execution of all events of the summer season depends on the further course of the Corona crisis. However, it can already be said with certainty that the following events will not take place:

  • 15h Alp descent Flimserstein
  • Flimser Dorf- und Gewerbefest

  • LAAX Vintage Days

What restrictions do I have to expect during my stay?

Together with the successive easing of restrictions decided by the Federal Council for leisure activities and catering, protection concepts have also been adopted for different types of businesses. For example, there may be a restriction on the number of people in certain establishments. These and other measures ultimately serve to protect all of us and should not be a major impediment to a stay in Flims Laax Falera.

I plan to spend my autumn holidays in Flims Laax Falera. Can I cancel my booking free of charge if the federal and cantonal authorities impose renewed restrictions?
