Lake Laax

A beach experience in the heart of the mountains

Who would have thought that you could enjoy a beach experience at 1,016 metres above sea level? Laax shows that this is possible. In the centre of town, you can experience a unique bathing holiday in the heart of the Alps at Lake Laax (Lag Grond). A large sunbathing area, clear lake water and a breathtaking mountain panorama. Lake Laax also gave its name to the town of Laax – ‘Ils lags’ means ‘the lakes’ in the Romansh language.

It features a beach volleyball court at an altitude of 1,016 metres, a children’s play area as well as fire pits to fuel up with barbecued food after an action-packed day.
