Senda dil Dragun - a fun trip for the whole family

From summer 2021, the world's longest treetop walk will connect the two villages of Laax Murschetg and Laax Dorf. Once you have reached platform height via one of the two access towers, the 1.5-kilometer-long walkway leads you through the forest - always at eye level with the trees. With a slide for the little ones, four platforms with seatings along the way and a unique view of the surrounding landscape, the treetop walk offers a unique nature experience for the whole family.

On the five adventure places of the treetop walk there are lots of interesting facts for young and old about the flora and fauna of Laax, exciting things to discover about the Surselva and the Grisons.

Digital experience for children
Children meet the magician Ami Sabi either in a 360° video or interactively thru AR, who guides them along the "Senda dil Dragun" together with his friends.

Digital experience for adults
Adults will meet the well-known actor Andrea Zogg, who they will meet as an AR figure on the tree-top walk. He talks about the formation of the Ruinaulta by the Flims landslide, the animal and plant life and the history of the people in the region.

Rules & regulations

Dogs* or animals of any kind are unfortunately not allowed on the trail. Exceptions for assistance and guide dogs. A lead is compulsory at all times. 


*Condition in the approval procedure

Open fires and smoking on the treetop walk is strictly prohibited.  
For safety reasons, only wheelchairs and strollers are allowed on the trail.    


You are in the nature in the middle of the forest. There are many animals that should respected and we request that you do not make excessive noise.  


Picnicking on the trail is not allowed. Enjoy your picnic at Lake Laax or at one of the BBQ areas around the treetop trail.  



A pure nature experience stretching 1.5 km through south-east Switzerland

As you make your way along the world’s longest treetop circuit in Laax, all your senses will be at their sharpest and you will experience the forest and the imposing mountain scenery as you have never done before. Enjoy the peace and quiet and listen to the birds singing, delight at the stunning views from, in places, an impressive height and discover the different types of tree and wood. A walk along the Senda dil Dragun is not only a fascinating nature experience in the fine weather; as the festive period approaches, the treetop circuit in Laax is transformed into a “winter wonderland”.

Digital experience

At five discovery sites, a tablet provides you with valuable information about the regional animal and plant life, geology, agriculture and human settlement. In this fascinating AR world, the famous actor, Andrea Zogg, tells you all about nature and the social development of Laax. You can pick up a tablet at the ticket office in Murschetg.

Experience the new attraction in Laax with Ami Sabi

Ami Sabi's friends, Um Selvadi and Tinfleida, are regularly on the trail and tell exciting stories, which ensure that the little ones also have a varied experience on the treetop path.

The Ami Sabi characters can be found on the treetop path on the following days;

  •     Until 22 August every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. - 12.00 p.m. and 1.30 p.m. - 5 p.m.
  •     From 23 August every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m- - 12.00 h and 1.30 p.m. - 5 p.m.

The digital Ami Sabi experience

Thanks to augmented and virtual reality, the "Senda dil Dragun" will not only be a nature experience, but also a digital one. With a tablet or smartphone provided, you will be able to expand your experience with the help of augmented and virtual reality.

2 Stories for young and old

Kids in particular enjoy exploring the forest, the mountain scenery around Flims, animals and people at eye level with the trees, and this journey of discovery is quite unique. They will come face to face with Ami Sabi, a well-known figure in Laax, as an AR figure in the real world or animated in a 360° video. Ami Sabi and his friends will guide the children through an exciting story. In doing so, he relies on the children’s help. Together, they set off on an adventure, becoming an active part of the story.

Adults are taken into an exciting augmented reality world with exciting facts in the well-known voice of actor Andrea Zogg, which shows the nature and social development of Laax.

73 m of sliding fun for young visitors

At the entry tower in Murschetg, a 73 m long spiral slide awaits our younger visitors. Hurtling down the longest slide in Laax while sitting on a mat is certain to be another highlight for kids.

Tower Murschetg

The landscape of Laax and its surroundings was formed by the Flims landslide. At the Murschetg tower you will learn what it looked like before the landslide and how it shaped the landscape.

Plants and trees of the forest

Uaul Casti Platform

Forest is not only a collection of trees. Here you will be shown which plants and trees can be found in the Laax forest and how the character of the forest changes over a few kilometers.

Birds and animals of the forest

Ravanasc Platform

The Laax forest is inhabited by birds, deer, squirrels and, for some time now, wolves. On this platform you will learn everything worth knowing about the animals in the Laax forest.

Humans and their animals

Dimplaun Sura Platform

Since the Bronze Age people have settled in the region around Laax. Already at that time people kept farm animals and cultivated their fields. More information about the people and their animals can be found on this platform.

The perfect viewing point

Uaul Fraissen Platform

This platform not only offers you a beautiful view, you also have the possibility to observe the animals in the forest like a hunter on his high seat.

Visitor limitation

In order to give you the best possible experience, there is a visitor limit on the tree-top walk.

  • There may be a short waiting time at the entrance gates until a spot on the trail becomes available. 
  • Tickets are limited and only available via the INSIDE LAAX app or the web shop.

Step by step guide

The trail is also open in bad weather. To be on the safe side, find out in advance via LAAX live whether the trail is open. Only in case of thunderstorms, hail, storms and ice, will we reserve the right to close the trail.  


By car 
If you are coming from Zurich or Basel, follow the A3/A13 motorway in the direction of Chur and take the Reichenau exit (No. 18). Then take route no. 19 and you will reach LAAX after about 30 minutes. Coming from San Bernardino, you also use the exit Reichenau (No. 18). You can park your car in the car park in LAAX Murschetg. The entrance to the tree top walk is above the parking garage in the rocksresort.

By public transport 
If you arrive by train, the international train connections will bring you to Chur. From there you can reach our destination by bus in the direction of Flims. For access via the Murschetg tower, choose the Laax Bergbahnen stop, from there it is only a few steps to the treetop path. For access via the Dimplaun tower, the Laax Posta/Laax Dorf stop is suitable; from the Laax Posta stop it is approx. 20 minutes to the entrance at the Dimplaun tower. On the route from Laax Posta/ Laax Dorf there is also a shuttle that takes you to the entrance.

This depends on how much of a hurry you are in. If you are just walking from A to B, you should be in Laax Dimplaun/Laax Murschetg in 25 minutes. But if you want to enjoy nature and experience something, then your stay on the treetop path will take between 1 - 1.5 hours.    

There is a lift at both entrance towers.  

You are allowed to use the slide if you are at least 6 years old. Children under 6 travel free of charge if accompanied by an adult.

The Ami Sabi figures can be found on the treetop path on the following days;

  •     Until 22 August 2021 every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. - 12.00 p.m. and 1.30 p.m. - 5 p.m.
  •     From 23 August 2021 every Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m- - 12.00 h and 1.30 p.m. - 5 p.m.
