Europe's longest treetop walk

Mountain Vision AG

In the coming summer of 2021, a new attraction will be waiting to be discovered in Laax: Europe's longest treetop walk. The tree top walk or "Senda da Tschemas" in Romansh perfectly complements the regional tourist offer. Visitors are given the opportunity to experience nature in a completely different way: at the same height as the trees. For example, different types of needles and fir cones can be viewed up close. The approximately 1.5 kilometre long walk will lead from Laax-Murschetg via Laax Cons and finally to Laax Dorf. Along the way, the walkers can learn more about the fauna and flora and the geological formation of the region on 4 viewing platforms with the help of information boards. Detailed information can be found in the project message of the municipality of Laax (available in German only).

Update: Corona Code of Honour

Mountain Vision AG
[Translate to englisch:]

The Federal Council's measures are being eased gradually. The next stage will follow on 11 May 2020, when shops and restaurants will reopen and schools will also resume teaching. We can once again look forward to a little more freedom - nevertheless, certain regulations still need to be adhered to. Only this way can the easing of restrictions be carried out in a safe and orderly manner. In the Flims Laax Falera Corona Code of Honour you will find the most important behaviour you should follow:

  • Sporty activities are allowed again: Bike trails and hiking trails up to medium altitudes are clear of snow and waiting to be explored. The following applies: Avoid physical contact and adhere to hygiene and distance rules. Group sizes of more than 5 people are still not allowed.
  • You can finally visit your favourite restaurants of the destination again. For consumption on site, groups of up to 4 people and families are allowed. You can find out which establishments are open on the INSIDE LAAX app and on the overview (opening times May & June / All restaurants in the valley).
  • If you prefer to eat at home or outdoors, you may still try the LAAX Delivery Service: Order groceries or hot meals conveniently to your doorstep using Mobile Ordering on the INSIDE LAAX App or pick them up yourself as Take-Away.
  • Local businesses are happy about your support: Various other local shops and restaurants offer take-away or deliver their products to your home via their websites. On www.surselva.shop you will find an overview.

Even with the loosening of restrictions announced by the Federal Council, this extraordinary situation continues to require discipline from all of us. We thank you for your active help to ensure a safe and secure cooperation during this time.

Stay safe!

INSIDE Points valid until October

Mountain Vision AG

The loosening of the precautionary regulations by the Swiss Federal Council unfortunately does not yet allow tourism to take a sigh of relief - but dreams are allowed. In appreciation for your loyalty during this much too short season, we are extending the validity of your INSIDE points until the end of October! This means that the points you collected during the winter will not expire at the end of April this year. So you can redeem them all summer long for tickets, vouchers and goodies or donate them to the Greenstyle Foundation.

Not in the mood for cooking today? You can also redeem your points straight away in the INSIDE LAAX app and order delicious Asian or Italian dishes to be delivered to your home. Even shopping grouches won't miss out on the LAAX Delivery Shop: you can use your points for staple foods and have them delivered directly to your door in Flims Laax Falera.

Corona Code of Honour

Mountain Vision AG

We care about our health. We now all have it in our hands to protect people who belong to a risk group and to stop the spread of the Coronavirus. In the sense of «one for all and all for one» it is therefore a matter of honour that we put our own needs in the background for the benefit of the general public. We therefore ask you to follow our Flims Laax Falera Corona Code of Honour:

  • Do not take any risks in sports: Avoid risky activities. This way you relieve the staff in the hospitals.
  • Avoid crowds of people: Please do not form groups of more than 5 people and avoid them, even in the outdoors. This way you minimize potential further infections.
  • Use the LAAX Delivery Service as an alternative to supermarkets: Order groceries or meals via Mobile Ordering using the INSIDE LAAX app, conveniently at home.
  • Support local businesses: Various other local shops and restaurants offer take away or deliver their products home through their websites. Support these companies and order locally. Here you can find an overview www.surselva.shop
  • Request support as a member of a risk group: You need help in the household, someone to drive you to the doctor or to pick up medicine at the pharmacy? Call 081 927 98 39 and ask for help.

This extraordinary situation requires not only solidarity but also discipline from all of us. We thank you for your active help to ensure a safe coexistence during this challenging time.

Extraordinary Situations Require Extraordinary Measures

Mountain Vision AG

Extraordinary Situations Require Extraordinary Measures - 081 927 98 39 helps!

The community of the destination Flims Laax Falera would like to help its people in these times, which are not easy for everyone, and offer their population the following assistance:

The Weisse Arena Gruppe (WAG), as a provider of tourist services, is taking responsibility towards the local population and guests in the destination.

The company has spontaneously offered its help and will take over certain services on behalf of the community that are otherwise provided and coordinated by Spitex Selva. This way Spitex and the Plaids residential and nursing home can concentrate fully on their core tasks.

Help Seekers

The WAG, with its well-trained staff and the existing logistics and infrastructure, will help to maintain basic services and a certain quality of life.

The following services can be requested:

  • Meal service
  • Grocery shopping
  • Collection of medicines from doctors/pharmacies
  • Transport service to doctors, pharmacies, therapies etc.
  • Housekeeping services
  • Telephone contact (regular calls to check how things are going)

According to the BAG, the risk group includes persons aged 65 and over and persons with pre existing illnesses. We would also like to make this support available to families with sick parents. Billing is carried out by Spitex at the applicable rates.

The meal service can also be used by people who do not belong to the risk group at regular prices.
Assistance can be requested by calling 081 927 98 39 from 8:00 to 12:00 and 13:30 to 17:00.

Help Provider

Would you like to offer your help?

Offers from private persons, associations, institutions, etc. for all areas (health care, assistance of all kinds, etc.) should also be made to 081 927 98 39, where the services are collected and mediated.

Delivery Service & Take away:

In times of social distancing we would like to contribute to the preservation of the quality of life for our community. If you do not want to miss out on food from the restaurant even in this situation, dishes will be delivered directly to your home - in this special situation without extra charge. The delivery service can be ordered via the Mobile Ordering function in the INSIDE LAAX app.

In addition to this digital route, various restaurants in the destination also offer a convenient delivery service and / or take away by telephone.

Home Delivery of Staple Foods

We have noticed that the need to be able to order staple foods home has significantly increased in this situation. That is why we are working with local partners to make this possible via the INSIDE LAAX app. Here you find the download of the INSIDE LAAX app: www.flimslaax.com/en/inside-laax-app

The latest information on the catalog of services and the list of providers will be updated regularly on the INSIDE LAAX App and on the website.

Immediate closure of the ski area!

Mountain Vision AG
[Translate to englisch:]

In its decree of Friday afternoon, the cantonal government had allowed operation up to and including Sunday. At the same time, the federal government for its part decreed that ski resorts, as organizers, could only allow 100 persons, which is practically equivalent to the closure of the ski resorts and mountain railways.

The federal regulation takes precedence over the cantonal regulation - for this reason, the cantonal authorities have decided that the ski resorts and mountain railways must cease operations with immediate effect.

We too had been looking forward to two last days in the snow, were completely taken by surprise by the news and regret the abrupt end of the season. We regret even more the circumstances that have occurred to you.

On www.laax.com/alternativen you will find suggestions for off-piste activities.

Stay safe and happy!
