Start into the main season

Mountain Vision AG

On Saturday, 18 December 2021 we are starting the main season. Due to strong winds at higher altitudes, a lot of snow has been blown away and the pistes have to be prepared with great effort. Nevertheless, we are very pleased that we will be ready for you at the start of the main season with almost the full range of offers on the mountain.
 

Cable car facilities and pistes

As from Friday, 17 December 2021, the Scansinas - Mutta Rodunda chairlift and the Plaun - Scansinas - Nagens gondola lift will also be in operation

From Saturday, 18 December 2021, all the cableways, except the Lavadinas - Fuorcla da Sagogn chairlift, will be in operation. In addition, with a few exceptions, all pistes will also be open. This means that winter sports enthusiasts will have around 145 kilometres of pistes at their disposal this coming weekend.

Snowparks und Halfpipes

The Beginner Snowpark, the NoName Snowpark, parts of P60 and two kickers of the Pro Line are already open. The Mini-Pipe and Superpipe are expected to be open from Christmas. You can also check the status of the snowparks and halfpipes via the live page or the INSIDE LAAX app.

 

Winter hiking trails, snowshoe trails, toboggan runs and cross-country ski trails

From Saturday, 18 December 2021, all winter hiking trails, snowshoe trails and toboggan runs will also be open. Cross-country skiers can use the trails on Plaun and in Bargis. The current range of cross-country trails is also available at any time on Trin Nordic.

 

Covid-19 Info

  •     Masks are compulsory on the cable cars and gondola lifts.
  •     Masks are not compulsory for chair lifts and all outdoor queuing situations, but sufficient distance must be kept from other queuers.
  •     There is a capacity restriction of 70 percent for cable cars with 25 or more passengers. For the LSB1 Laax - Crap Sogn Gion, for example, this means the following: normal occupancy: 120 persons, occupancy with capacity restriction: 80 persons.
  •     For consumption indoors in the restaurants, certificates are required in accordance with 3G regulations.

From 30 November 2021, daily offers for your winter sports enjoyment will be available in LAAX. Thanks to the snowfall of the last few days, we can continue to increase operations and so the following slopes will be open for you this weekend 04 - 05 December 2021:

Weekend 26 - 27 November

Mountain railway operation
On the coming weekend of 27 - 28 November 2021, there will be no winter sports operations on the Vorab glacier and no winter hiking operations on Crap Sogn Gion. This is due to the weather forecast with strong winds and snowfall. Thanks to the cold temperatures, snow can be made around the Crap Sogn Gion and daily operations are expected to start on Tuesday, 30 November 2021. A decision on this will be made on Monday, 29 November 2021.

For hikers, the Flims - Foppa chairlift is in operation on Thursday and Friday. On Saturday and Sunday the lift is not in operation due to the weather forecast. All bike trails remain closed and bikers are not transported.

Mountain railway operation

The Vorab Glacier will be open for business next weekend from 20 - 21 November 2021. For winter sports enthusiasts, there are two slopes, a small park and the Vorab Restaurant for refreshments. Pedestrians will also be transported to Crap Sogn Gion. Snacks are available on the Sundeck at GALAAXY.  The winter hiking trail from Crap sogn Gion to Crap Masegn is groomed.

The chairlift Foppa - Naraus will not be in operation next weekend and guests will only be transported to Foppa. The bike trails are closed.

  •     Crap Sogn Gion cable car: Sat - Sun, 08.30 a.m. - 4.30 p.m. (last descent)
  •     Glacier lift Vorab: Sat - Sun, until 3.15 p.m. each day

On Sunday 14 November 2021, the Vorab glacier will be closed due to the weather forecast. There will therefore be no cable car service from Laax Murschetg.
The Flims - Foppa chairlift will be in operation for pedestrians. All bike trails are closed.

For winter sports enthusiasts, there are two slopes, a small park and the Vorab Restaurant for refreshments. Pedestrians will also be transported to Crap Sogn Gion. Due to the weather and snow conditions, there will be no winter sports operations on the Vorab glacier on the coming weekend of 30 - 31 October 2021. This means that the Crap Sogn Gion cable car will also be out of service.

The following operating times apply to the other cableways:

    Flims - Foppa chairlift: Thu - Sun, 9 a.m. - 4.30 p.m. (last descent 4.45 p.m.).
    Chairlift Foppa - Naraus: Thu - Sun, 9.15 a.m. - 4.15 p.m. (last descent 4.30 p.m.)
    Grauberg cable car: Sat - Sun, 9.30 a.m. - 3.30 p.m. (last descent 3.45 p.m.)
    Caumasee lift: daily 08 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Weekend 9 - 10 October

New digital experience on the "Senda dil Dragun" treetop walk
In July 2021, the "Senda dil Dragun", the longest treetop walk in the world, celebrated its opening. Around 60,000 guests have visited the path since then. From 09 October 2021, it will now offer a new highlight: with augmented reality, visitors  will be accompanied through pictures and stories about the trail. The digital content will be presented using tablets and cardbox glasses. On the occasion of the new attraction, a concert by Linard Bardill will take place this Saturday, 9 October 2021 at 4 p.m. at the access tower in the rocksresort in Laax Murschetg.

Senda dil Dragun

Rocksmarkt and Miss Arena Alva contest
On 9 October, Swiss tradition and guests from various places will come together at the rocksresort to celebrate the election of Miss Arena Alva 2021. This is no ordinary Miss contest, but rather a cattle show, with the most beautiful cow being chosen. At the same time, the autumn market will take place at the rocksresort. A great experience for young and old!

New COVID test centre at the rocksresort in Laax Murschetg
From 8th to 24th October 2021 there will be a public walk-in test centre at the rocksresort. All tested persons will receive a valid COVID certificate.

Opening hours:
Monday - Thursday: 4 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Friday - Saturday: 12 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Sunday: 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Notes

  •     From 11 October 2021, tests for certificates will have to be financed by the patient himself/herself. Persons who have already received the first vaccination dose are exempt. In this case, the federal government will cover the costs until 30 November 2021
  •     A valid identity card and the health insurance card must be brought along for the tests until 10 October 2021. From 11 October 2021, only a valid identity card is required.

Entry to Lake Cauma free of charge for now
Entry to Lake Cauma is from now on and for the rest of the 2021 summer/autumn season free of charge.

Falera - Curnius chairlift not in operation at the weekend
Due to the weather forecast for the coming weekend, 18/19 September 2021, the Falera - Curnius chairlift will remain closed.

Closure Scala Mola due to alpine procession on 18 September 2021  
The path "Scala Mola" (Tegia Gronda to Bargis) will be closed for safety reasons from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, 18 September 2021 during the alp-descent from Flimserstein. There is a danger of dropping during the alp-descent. 

Hunting season 20. - 30. September 2021
During the hunting season the bike trails are open as follows;

Runca Trail: Sector C1 to C3 Val gl' Uors closed from 4.45 p.m., diversion along the road is indicated.
Nagens Trail: sectors A1 to C2 closed from 4.45 p.m., diversions along asphalt road to entrance Greenvalley sector C3.

Caution oncoming traffic!
