World Orienteering Championships in Flims Laax Falera

The World Orienteering Championships will take place in Flims Laax Falera from 11 - 16 July. Directly afterwards, the Swiss Orienteering Week will take place from 15 - 22 July. During this time there is a lot going on in the destination. In addition to the many running events, well-known artists such as Baba Shrimps and Pat Burgener will be on site for a concert.

Key dates for the World Orienteering Championships: 

  • 13 July: long distance women/men & concert Baba Shrimps
  • 15 July: Middle distance women/men & concert Pat Burgener
  • 16 July: Relay women/men 
     

Key dates Swiss Orienteering Week: 

  • 16 July: Stage 1 - Flims 
  • 17 July: Stage 2 - Crap Sogn Gion 
  • 18 July: Stage 3 - Vorab
  • 20 July: Stage 4 - Nagens
  • 21 July: Stage 5 - Tectonic Arena Sardona 
  • 22 July: Stage 6 - Laax

Closures during this time

As the orienteers will be both in the forest and on the mountain during the competitions, the following offers and activities will not be available between 11 and 22 July. 

Freestyle Academy
The Freestyle Academy will be closed from 8 to 18 July. 

Hubertus Archery Park 
The Hubertus Bogenpark will be closed on 13 and 17 July

GALAAXY Park

GALAAXY Park will be closed on 17 July.

Bike Transport 
17 July | No bikes will be transported from Laax Murschetg to Crap Sogn Gion until 4 p.m.
18 July | No bikes will be transported from Laax Murschetg to Crap Sogn Gion until 2 p.m.
20 July | No bikes will be transported from Flims to Nagens until 1 p.m.
21 July | No bikes will be transported from Flims to Nagens until 2 p.m.

Never End Trail
The Never End Trail is closed on 13 July. No bikes will be transported from Laax Murschetg to Crap Sogn Gion.

Lake Cauma 

On 15 July, the northern part of Lake Cauma is closed.
