News Flims Laax Falera

The World Orienteering Championships will take place in Flims Laax Falera from 11 - 16 July. Directly afterwards, the Swiss Orienteering Week will take place from 15 - 22 July. During this time there is a lot going on in the destination. In addition to the many running events, well-known artists such as Baba Shrimps and Pat Burgener will be on site for a concert.

As the orienteers will be both in the forest and on the mountain during the competitions, the following offers and activities will not be available between 11 and 22 July.

The Hubertus Bogenpark will be closed on 13 and 17 July.

GALAAXY Park will be closed on 17 July.

Bike Transport 
17 July | No bikes will be transported from Laax Murschetg to Crap Sogn Gion until 4 p.m.
18 July | No bikes will be transported from Laax Murschetg to Crap Sogn Gion until 2 p.m.
20 July | No bikes will be transported from Flims to Nagens until 1 p.m.
21 July | No bikes will be transported from Flims to Nagens until 2 p.m.

Never End Trail
The Never End Trail is closed on 13 July. No bikes will be transported from Laax Murschetg to Crap Sogn Gion.

Lake Cauma 

On 15 July, the northern part of Lake Cauma is closed.

Thanks to the snowfall in the course of this week, we were able to put additional lifts and slopes into operation. Due to this, the number of guests could be increased from 1,200 to 3,000. The ticket purchase as well as the reservation for holders of a TOPCARD or a season pass can still be made via the INSIDE LAAX app the day prior from 12 noon.

Slopes and activities

On the weekend we expect changeable weather with little fresh snow. On the Vorab we expect poor visibility on Saturday, on Sunday with light wind an improvement in the weather. For this reason the operation on the Vorab is still uncertain for the weekend. Around the Crap Sogn Gion will be added to the existing offer:

Due to the intense snowfall over the weekend and the resulting danger of avalanches (level 3, "considerable"), all lifts will remain closed on Monday, 7 December.

We are happy to open the first lifts and slopes around Crap Sogn Gion starting from Tuesday. The necessary reservation for season pass/TOPCARD holders (free of charge)  as well as the sale of day tickets will continue to start the day prior at 12 noon via the INSIDE LAAX App.

Wednesday, 9 December

On Wednesday, you'll also have access from Flims (via Arena Express). Moreover, we expect to open additional slopes (P51 Alp Dado, P52 Curnius) together with the start of the Alp Dado chairlift and the Crap ski lift. Our team is working hard on this.

Today, Friday, December 4, the Federal Council and the Canton of Graubünden announced further restrictions on gastronomy and guidelines for ski resorts.

What does this mean for you?

• The ski area remains open. We will continue to comply with all federal and cantonal regulations. Thank you for helping us to implement our COVID-19 measures.
• On the weekend of 5-6 December we expect snowfall and wind with peaks of up to 80km/h. Therefore the Vorab Glacier will remain closed on Saturday and Sunday.
• As soon as the weather and snow conditions permit, we will open additional lifts and slopes.
• Restaurants in the valley and on the mountain will be closed until December 18th. Catering on the mountain and at the base stations will be ensured by a varied take away offer:

On Saturday, 31 October 2020, we will start the 2020/21 winter season with the opening of the Vorab Glacier. The circumstances are challenging for safe yet carefree winter sports experiences. We therefore have prepared a comprehensive package of measures.

"Limited Opening" Saturday, 31 October and Sunday, 1 November 2020

In order to offer our guests the best possible experience on the mountain on the opening weekend, the number of admissions to the area will be limited to 1'200 guests. Only guests in possession of a valid season pass and who have reserved a spot free of charge via the INSIDE LAAX app will have access to the mountain - it's first come, first serve. No day tickets are sold and the ticket offices for will remain closed.

The is available free of charge on the day prior from 2 p.m. in the INSIDE LAAX ticket shop. Important: Book your reservation on the same keycard (data carrier) as your season pass.

For snowboarders and skiers the slopes 32 and 33 at the Vorab Glacier are open. For freestylers there is also a small park offer available. The lift operation starts at 8.30 a.m. from the Laax base station. For hikers, the Flims - Foppa chairlift operates from 9.00 a.m.. The bike trails are closed. In the coming summer of 2021, a new attraction will be waiting to be discovered in Laax: Europe's longest treetop walk. The tree top walk or "Senda da Tschemas" in Romansh perfectly complements the regional tourist offer. Visitors are given the opportunity to experience nature in a completely different way: at the same height as the trees. For example, different types of needles and fir cones can be viewed up close. The approximately 1.5 kilometre long walk will lead from Laax-Murschetg via Laax Cons and finally to Laax Dorf. Along the way, the walkers can learn more about the fauna and flora and the geological formation of the region on 4 viewing platforms with the help of information boards.
